How much does shipping cost?

Standard shipping is free within Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and China.

 

For all express orders in these countries we charge a flat fee of $25.

Yes. We ship to PO Boxes Australia-wide using Australia Post. 



Where does July ship?

We ship worldwide using DHL and FedEx, delivering your order in record time. Within Australia we use Australia Post. 



When will I receive my order?

We want you to have your order as fast as possible. On all business days orders before 1pm are processed and dispatched the same day. Orders after 1pm are processed and dispatched next business day.

How does the 100-day trial work?

We have designed our suitcases, bags, and accessories to be perfect travel companions. Beautiful and resilient, we give you 100 days to try it for yourself. If you decide that this is not the product for you, for whatever reason, send it back to us within the 100 day trial and we’ll reimburse you your money. 



Please note that personalised items are not eligible for the 100 day trial. 

 

All personalised items are made bespoke so, unfortunately, these orders do not have a 100-day trial and cannot be returned or exchanged — however our Lifetime Warranty for luggage and 5 year warranty for travel bags & accessories on manufacturing faults still apply.



What’s your return and exchange policy?

 

If you decide that your July product isn’t for you, you can return or exchange it anytime within the 100 day-trial period. Request a return by simply emailing us at help.usa@july.com and we’ll take care of it for you. 

 

To be eligible for a full refund ensure all original parts are included and settings are restored. Things we check for:

  • The compression pad and laundry bag are still inside.
  • The power bank is still inside of the Carry On.
  • The code of your case has been reset to 000.

All online orders come with a tracking number which we will send to you via email. Please allow 48 hours from purchase for the shipping confirmation email and tracking details to be updated.

What’s the warranty on your luggage?

 

All July luggage comes with a guaranteed limited lifetime warranty that covers any defect on wheels, zips, handles, nylon compression strap breakages and specific cracks or breaks in the polycarbonate shell or aluminium bumpers. 

 

The extended warranty does not cover any defects caused by improper use, cases that were bought second hand or without proof of purchase directly from July and cosmetic damages, any bumps, scratches, scuffs or general wear and tear generated from using the case and have no impact on how the case is used or its functionality. 

 

The ejectable Power Bank in our Carry On is covered by a two-year warranty. If you need a replacement battery, email our Customer Happiness team at help.usa@july.com

 

What’s the warranty on your bags and accessories?

Products such as our Carry Me, Carry All bags and Packing Cells are all protected by a limited five-year warranty, which means that if you have any manufacturing faults within five years from the original date of purchase, we’ll fix or replace it for you. 

 

The 5 year warranty does not cover any defects caused by improper use, bags and accessories that were bought second hand or without proof of purchase directly from July, cosmetic damages, or general wear and tear generated from using the products and have no impact on how the products are used or their functionality. 

 

Who do I contact if I need my July product to be fixed under warranty?

What is the case made from?

All of our hard shell luggage is made from 100% aerospace-grade German polycarbonate. 

 

The Carry On seems too big. Is this within airline standards?

If it looks big, it is! It's been designed to maximise how much you can bring onto a plane with you. The Carry On is designed perfectly for all US and International airline standards. 

 

45 linear inches (22 x 14 x 9 in) or 115 centimeters (56 x 36 x 23 cm) including handles and wheels

 

Airlines have hard linear dimension rules (all sides must add up to less than 45 linear inches or 115 linear centimeters) but the suggested dimensions (e.g. 22 x 14 x 9 in) are often guidelines. As long as all sides add up to 45 in, the case is clear to fly. 

 

The July Carry On is 45 linear inches, and fits perfectly for all airlines. Our team and customers have flown with almost every major domestic and international carrier with the July Carry On and tested them for sizing across all.

 

Will the bumpers scratch?

The aluminium bumpers are there to protect the polycarbonate corners from hard bumps and dents with rough treatment. Unlike the polycarbonate, they do scratch and wear over time.

 

Every scratch is just part of your travel story with your July case. Like a good patina on your leather goods, the wear on the bumpers is an indication of a life well travelled.

 

Do all of your cases come with the Power Bank?

No, the ejectable Power Bank only comes with our Carry On. Email our Customer Happiness team at help.usa@july.com if you wish to purchase as a spare.

Extend the Carry On handle to an appropriate height where you’re able to access the Power Bank housing unit. Flip the notch to open from the housing unit and push down on the Power Bank to eject

How do the cases nest inside within each other?

We designed our cases so that any of our Carry On cases can fit neatly inside of the Checked or Checked Plus for easy storage. The Checked also nests inside of the Checked Plus, so you can easily store up to three cases when you’re at home. Note: The Carry On cannot nest within another Carry On.

 

How do I clean the cases?

Our cases are extremely easy to clean. A bit of warm water with detergent/soap or all-purpose spray, on a cleaning cloth and some elbow grease will get most marks off. For stubborn blemishes we recommend using a magic eraser in place of a cleaning cloth.

Can I get the Carry Me personalised?

Yes. We use a unique way to personalise your case called Inked™ by July. It allows perfect creation of your monogram on our luggage, and lasts as long as your case does. 

 

All personalised cases take a little longer to prepare due to the fact they are created bespoke. Add an extra 2 days from order to arrival.

 

Please note the monogram is only available to be personalised on the bottom right side of the bag.

 

How do I clean the Carry Me?

A bit of warm water with detergent/soap or all-purpose spray, on a cleaning cloth and some elbow grease will get most marks off. For stubborn blemishes we recommend using a magic eraser in place of a cleaning cloth. We use the same method as we do for cleaning our cases.

Can I get the Carry All bags personalised?

Yes. While our hard-side goods are custom-printed, the Carry All range and all our soft bags are custom-embroidered. Personalised Carry All bags are individually stitched using high-quality thread on the pass-through back band.

 

How do I clean the Carry All bags?

Most scuffs can be removed with a bit of water and a towel, or a wet wipe, by lightly tapping and massaging the affected area. Stubborn marks may require a dry clean. If you think you’ll need extra protection on your journey you can always scotchgard them too.

Our 8 pack has 2x Small, 2x Medium, 2x Large and 2x Extra Large sized packing cells.

How do I clean them?

Our packing cells are machine washable, so you can pop them into the washing machine to clean with or without the things you packed.

Ejectable Power Bank

What are the details around the July Power Bank?

The July Power Bank is a 37WH lithium-polymer battery. The 10,000 mAh battery has one USB-C, one Micro USB and two USB ports that can charge your phone and your laptop simultaneously. It ejects from the case in order to be compliant with airline flight regulations and allows for easy transportation should you want to use it for anything else.

 

It complies with all regulations from individual airlines, and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), International Air Transport Association (IATA), and Department of Infrastructure: Aviation (DOI). Each battery also includes its own QuickCharge charging cable (Type C to USB A compatible with any USB wall plug).

 

How long does it take to fully charge?

It’s extremely quick, charging from empty to full in under 3 hours with our QuickCharge charging cable (Type C to USB A) that comes with the Power Bank.

 

How do I eject the Power Bank?

Care

 

Is the personalisation easy to remove?

For our luggage, Inked™ by July is made to last through the wear and tear of your travels. We use a special technique and ink that ensures your personalisation will stick with you for as long as the case does; it does not come off. However just like the rest of your luggage, all personalisation is subject to normal wear with extended use.

We do not accept returns or exchanges of items that were purchased as a corporate gift. However, our cases are guaranteed by a limited lifetime warranty that covers any damage that functionally impairs the luggage. If anything breaks i.e: luggage shell, wheels, handles, zippers, or anything else, we’ll fix or replace it for you.

Do you ever go on sale?

While we may have promotional gifts with purchase, our luggage and bags never go on sale. Most carry and luggage brands sell through retailers and distributors, adding on markup along the way and by the time it reaches you it’s almost triple the cost. We avoid all the markups of our competitors and get the best cases and bags to you at a significantly lower price.
