CaseSafe Lock Instructions
Set Up
- Open the suitcase and find the rear of the tracker
- Pull plastic tab and the device should beep once and the indicator will blink
- Open your devices app
Apple
- Go to your “Find My” App
- Tap “Items” tab
- Tap the “+” sign (if there no other items paired, tap “Add Item”)
- Add ”Other Item”
- App will search for July Luggage
- Tap connect and name the item
- Choose an emoji
- Agree to terms to complete set up
- Tap Finish
Android™
- Download Find My Devices App
- Ensure that your July Luggage and Android Device are located close to one another
- Pull plastic tab from behind the tracker and the tracker should beep once
- A "half-sheet" popup will appear on your Android device advising that a device has been found
- If half-sheet pop up does not appear
- Open the “Settings” app
- Go to “Google” > “All Services” > “Devices”
- Make sure “Scan for nearby devices” toggle is enabled
- You will see a list of devices titled “Available devices nearby”
- Tap “July Luggage” once it pops up on the list
- If half-sheet pop up does not appear
- Follow the on-screen instructions. A series of prompts will appear on your screen asking you to turn certain features on in case you haven't enable them yet (e.g. Screen Lock, turning on Bluetooth and Location, installing the Find My Device app)
- Your July Luggage is now connected and paired to your Google Account and you can start using it with the Find My Device app
Unpairing
Apple
- Open Find my App
- Tap “Items” tab
- Tap luggage
- Scroll down and tap to remove item
- Confirm to remove
- LED Indicator will blink and chime will ring 3 times
Android
- Open Google Find My Devices App
- Select “July Luggage”
- Tap the settings button
- Tap "Remove from Find My Device" and follow the on-screen prompts
Factory Reset
A factory reset is required if you would like to pair your CaseSafe tracker with an iOS or Android device.
- Unpair the device from the Find My app.
- Remove and reinsert the battery five times in succession, ensuring that each removal occurs within 5 seconds of the previous reinsertion.
- The indicator will chime three times, confirming the reset.
Operational Instructions
- Press button once to indicate connection status
- Unpaired: 1 blink, 3 chimes
- Paired, Disconnected: 1 blink, 3 chimes
- Paired, Connected: 1 blink, 1 chime
- If device is pinged and the chime is ringing, press button once to cancel the chime when item is found
How to disable July Luggage
If you've received a notification on your device about an unfamiliar July Luggage nearby, you can make it ring by tapping the system notification. Once you've located the July Luggage, follow these steps to disable it
Open the battery cover (List the steps from open the suitcase to find the battery cover and open it)
- Unlock and unzip the suitcase
- Locate the battery cover which is on the rear of the tracker
- Use a coin or flat device to open the cover
- Dislodge the battery
Remove the battery
- Use your fingernail or insert a small tool in the gap on the side of the July Luggage
- Carefully pry open the device
- Remove the battery
- Close the battery cover
How to enable the identification
- Locate the button on the July Luggage
- Long press the button for 3 seconds, light will blink 6 times
